Q: Is the Old Dominion Baseball League just in Northern Virginia?
A: No. The league is expanding statewide, with regional play.

Q: What is the difference between TOWN and TRAVEL?
A: The TOWN division is for Little League, Cal Ripken, Dixie Youth, etc all-star teams, which want to stay at the same relative rules, field sizes and level of competition as the all-stars normally play. The TRAVEL division is for travel teams, as well as all-star teams, that want to compete at a different level, with various field sizes and changes to the rules to more incorporate total baseball rules.

Q: What are the field sizes for the different divisions and age groups?
A:
The TOWN division, ages 8u to 12u, is a 46'/60' field. The 8u and 9u TRAVEL divisions are also 46'/60'. The 10u TRAVEL division is 46'/65'. The 11u and 12u levels are 50'/70'.

Q: What are the costs associate with joining the ODBL?
A:
Currently, ODBL is sanctioned by ECTB and USSSA. The yearly fees for those organizations must be paid to them before registering for any tournaments or leagues. Your team must also possess some type of team insurance. The league fee, which covers what is listed in the ABOUT tab on this website, varies depending on the age group and level of play.
